Thich Nhat Hanh is a venerated spiritual teacher and leader, a prolific author and peace activist, known around the world for his distinguished teachings on peace and mindfulness. Nominated for the 1967 Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King Jr., he died in January, 2022, but his legacy lives on.

Melvin interviewed Thich Nhat Hanh on a number of occasions and edited several books on his teachings including You Are Here: Discovering the Magic of the Present Moment and Your True Home: The Everyday Wisdom of Thich Nhat Hanh. Melvin is also author of Mindful Politics: A Buddhist Guide to Making the World a Better Place.
