The Peril of Climate Change

July 2023 could be the world's hottest month in 120,000 years. The Mediterranean Sea has reached the hottest level on record. Phoenix has had 31 consecutive days of 110°F.

What is happening to our planet and what will happen if things don't change? Why do we and our governments do very little to combat climate change? What can you and I do to make a difference?

Our guest Roger Helm knows all about climate change. He has been researching and teaching about it for years. He brings a sobering, clear, yet hopeful account.

Roger holds a doctorate degree in biological ecology from UC Davis. For 25 years he led environmental contamination assessments in the U.S. and internationally for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Roger has published peer review scientific papers on global climate change. He is also an instructor at The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville.
