Rabbis for Human Rights

“A fundamental Jewish value is the notion that life is sacred... and that it’s not just true

for specific people, but it’s true for everyone because we all came from the same place.” - Rabbi Noa Mazo

Founded in 1988, Rabbis for Human Rights (RHR) in Israel is dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Inspired by Judaism's ethical teachings, their mission is to uphold the fundamental human rights of all people in the belief that every individual is created in the image of God and deserves to live with dignity and respect.

Our guest is Rabbi Dana Sharon, head of the Rabbis Network for Rabbis for Human Rights. She holds an MA degree in contemporary Jewish thought from Schechter Institute and teaches at Hebrew Union College in the Israeli Rabbinic Program and the Year in Israel program. She was ordained by the Israeli Rabbinic Program of the Hebrew Union College.
